- Hand washing all the parts is recommended to keep OmieBox in tip top shape for years to come

- Foods with high liquid content should be stored in the thermos

Poor temperature control
Bough this a year ago. Does not keep food hot in the winter (even if preheated the thermos) and does not keep food cold in the summer. Added an icepack to the exterior of the box and that helped in the summer. Not worth the price since it isn't actually insulating anything.

Great concept
I love concept of this lunchbox and it is versatile. It does not keep food that warm but enough for my son as he has lunch pretty early on in the day and it really doesn't need to be that hot. The only thing to keep in mind is that it's difficult finding extra pieces. I've already lost the gasket on the thermos and I can't find them anywhere except for one site and it's taking weeks to arrive. So the thermos is useless now until it arrives. Hopefully more will become available and Omie improves what could be an amazing product.

Think before you buy
I am not thrilled with this box. While the concept is wonderful, the lids on the thermos keep braking (I had to replace 3 of them so far). And the food in the thermos does not stay hot enough. For this kind of price the product does not deliver.

Would not buy again
Nice at first but takes a lot of time to wash by hand and separate to be able to maintain the structure. If you put in dishwasher it gets bent and is no longer stable on a flat surface. Difficult to maintain for a busy mom

Wonderful!
I purchased this for my son who is entering JK this September. He has some difficulty opening other thermos containers but this one is much easier for him. I love that you can store hot and cold foods in the same container, genius! Appears to be very well made and I am happy with the product.
