Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the same as Lac-Hydrin... I miss the discontinued Lac-Hydrin.Tried to find a replacement for years. Saw the reviews on well.ca and gave this Dermalac a try. It’s not even in the same ballpark as the old Lac-Hydrin, but it does have lactic acid, so I’ll just use it up for now. Dermalac doesn’t moisturize as good as Lac-Hydrin. Will not repurchase. For those folks on the hunt for a replacement of Lac-Hydrin, I have found a really good lactic acid lotion by avene called akerat, but it is hard to find on shelves in Wpg., plus it’s pricey. It moisturizes the best so far ( on the same level as Lac-Hydrin), and it is unscented. Too bad well.ca doesn’t carry it, I need more for my rare stockpile. Dermalac was a dud for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Watery lotion I have purchased Dermalac lotion before recommended by a skin doctor. It came in a tube, not a bottle like this one I recently purchased. I ordered the lotion through my pharmacy. But my pharmacist told me it was discontinued so I search online and found that Well.ca carries the same product but in a bottle instead of a tube. The first time I use this I found it surprisingly watery. The lotion I have used for years is thick and heavy whereas this one has nothing close to it. Maybe the manufacturer has diluted the lotion? I think it still does the work since the ingredients are the same

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cream for dermatitis My husband was told he had psoriasis, but it turned out to be atopic dermatitis. This cream is the best we have found for this condition and it is only sold on Well.ca!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DO NOT DISCONTINUE Like many reviewers on here, I used to use Lac Hydrin whose production was discontinued, and this was after another AHA-based lotion I loved was discontinued. Then came the hunt for a new lactic acid lotion, and the discovery of Dermalac was made. What's not to love: thinner consistency, smoothes the skin, pretty good value...my only hope is that Taro Canada understands what a winner they have on their hands, and keeps producing it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yep, it works! Yes, this product actually works, I’ve been using it for years. It is also fragrance free which is a massive bonus. In the winter, I simply couple Dermalac with Jergens Intensive body cream. The lactic acid provides deep hydration and dissolves dead skins cells upon application, Jergens then locks in the moisture. Simple and perfect, promise.
