Directions:
1. Clean the skin thoroughly before applying this product
2. Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily.
3. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor.
4. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.

BRING THE OLD DEEP CLEANING ASTRINGENT BACK -CRAP!
Why on Earth did you change the formula of your astringent to THIS cr*p?! It's terrible! And it leaves this horrible sticky film all over your skin too. It is absolutely NOTHING like the original version. I don't even understand why you tinkered with it to begin with - they say "don't fix it if it ain't broke" and NO ONE asked for this. Please throw this formula in the trash where it belongs and bring back the original Essentials Deep Cleaning Astringent!!!!

New Formula sucks
I have been using the old formula for over 5 years and was so happy with it. I recently ran out of the old one so I went to buy a new one when I noticed that the formula was change. I bought it regardless because I love clean and clear products, however, I couldn't be more disappointed. This new formula is disgusting in all aspects: it's smelly, sticky, and doesn't really clean. I use cotton pads to apply the product to my akin and normally I would notice that the cotton pad got dirty from the dirt of my face, but now there is nothing. I have only been using this product for a few days so I don't know anything about the long term effects yet but for right now I absolutely hate it.

Effective
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I received this product for free from Butterly and it was used by my 13 years old daughter.
She-uses the clean and Clear astringent after she washes her face with a prescription cleanser. The cleaner does an excellent job of getting any lingering dirt off her face. Astringent does not sting and it does not dry out her skin. It must be noted that her skin is naturally very oily. I cant say that it clears up acne because my daughter uses several other products in her routine so its hard to pinpoint which one is responsible for clearing the acne. But it is definitely worth a try.

Great!
I love this astringent! The smells is very nice and not to alcohol-y. It takes off all the extra dirt I may not have cleaned off properly. The reason why I didnt give it 5/5 is because I have sensitive skin and it make my skin a little dry near my chin. But over all great product! I would defiantly but it again

Sooooo harsh!
I tried this product after my regular Biore toner had been discontinued. It is sooooo harsh on the skin. My face was literally peeling like I had a sunburn and was all blotchy red. Definitely would not recommend if you have sensitive skin.

Not so good
I have been using this product 3 times a day for about 3 days already and I thought it would be helping get rid of my acne but it giving me even more. I started using it to help get rid of the small pimples on my nose but it's giving me bigger pimple. I do not recommend it at all, it was a waste of my money.

Deep cleans
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I #gotitforfree to try out this sample in the mail. My skin is acne prone and I was always insecure about my face and skin without make up on. I used this product for 7 days before submitting the review. I use this as a step 2 in the routine and can already see the difference on my skin and neck, the acne seems to be less and my face can relax a bit in preparation for step 3. I need to use it long term to be able to really see the results but so far I am pleased, it works great. Has a pleasant smell, and applies well to the skin. I like it a lot and will definitely continue to buy and would definitely recommend.

Bring back the Deep Clean formula
I have been using this product for last few weeks. I'm finding it is not as effective for dealing with my oily skin type. Please bring back the "Deep Clean" Orange product.
